Margaret Cross is an American soprano based in the Greater Boston area. At Dartmouth College, Margaret trained in vocal performance with Louis Burkot and sang in the Dartmouth College Glee Club, Dartmouth's premier classical chorus. She has received additional coaching from Erma Mellinger, Filippo Ciabatti, Walt Cunningham, and Camille Peters and has attended vocal masterclasses with Daniel Belcher and Sarah Craft. In 2017, she participated as an ensemble member in Opera North's Summerfest production of La Belle Helene. Her amateur theater credits include Les Miserables (Cosette), Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel), and Sweeney Todd (Johanna).
Margaret enjoys cantoring at Catholic liturgies and has sung at several churches in the Archdioceses of Manchester and Boston. She cherishes music and embraces every opportunity to share her voice and to collaborate with other musicians. In addition to singing, Margaret plays the French horn, mellophone, autoharp, and Irish tin whistle. Her album of original autoharp and vocal songs, "Whose I Am," debuted in October 2020. She maintains an active YouTube channel and is currently attending law school.
